BRITAIN’S Got Talent fans have been left scratching their heads after one act appeared to return for the live semi-finals with ‘new teeth’.

Viewers of the ITV1 show are convinced the contestant had jetted off to Turkey for a new set of gnashers following her first audition.

Taryn Charles, 39, made her BGT comeback for the first of this week’s live semi-finals and was quick to show off her smile.

The singer, who was one of judge Bruno Tonioli’s Golden Buzzer acts, chatted to the cameras before belting out Teddy Swims’ Lose Control.

But watching at home, viewers were quick to point put Taryn’s apparent bright new smile.

One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Taryn’s teeth are looking a lot whiter this week!”

Another added: “She’s got new teeth!”

And a third joked: “I wonder who paid for her Turkey teeth?”

Taryn first wowed Britain’s Got Talent viewers by singing (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin for her initial audition.

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon were impressed and gave her a standing ovation, but not as much as Bruno.

The Italian star awarded music teacher Taryn the Golden Buzzer, which put her straight through to this week’s live semi-finals.

Taryn returned on Monday night and she looked a far cry from how she looked for her first audition.

The singer had swapped her denim jumpsuit for a sophisticated black trouser suit and her hair had been styled into soft waves.

Once again, Bruno was on his feet after listening to Taryn sing for a second time.

Unfortunately, Taryn has found herself dragged into a ‘fix’ row since finding herself in the spotlight thanks to BGT.

It came after it was revealed she had already appeared on another ITV singing show.

Viewers recognised her from Starstruck, a singing contest where members of the public impersonate showbiz stars.

Britain's Got Talent's biggest 'fix' rows

Britain's Got Talent has been plagued with 'fix' rows over the years. How many of these do you remember?

Jasmine Elcock – 2016: Teenage singer Jasmine Elcock stunned the nation with her version of Cher’s Believe. But it then transpired she had already performed professionally in London’s West End. Jasmine, 14, admitted: “I’ve performed in Annie in the West End at about the age of nine or 10, but I really get nervous.”

IrShad Shaikh – 2017: BGT fans were left questioning the rule book when IrShad Shaikh auditioned. He got four red buzzers from the judges, which would usually mean an instant dismissal. Yet in a strange turn of events, they let him continue with his act…and put him through to the next round.

Colin Thackery – 2019: Elderly war veteran Colin won BGT in 2019, but there was an outcry over the final. He warbled his place to win with a version of We’ll Meet Again but fans were furious that escapologist Jonathan Goodwin didn’t even rank in the top three. Viewers felt Jonathan – who almost suffocated while being buried alive in a gravel pit – should have won.

Axel Blake – 2022: Comedian Axel Blake was given a Golden Buzzer in 2022 after making the judges laugh. But fans were fuming when they discovered Axel already had a show on worldwide streaming platform Amazon Prime. Despite this, Axel still went on to win the series.

Loren Allred – 2022: The 2022 series of BGT was hit with another controversy when singer Loren Allred also received a Golden Buzzer. She performed Never Enough from the smash hit musical movie The Greatest Showman and got a standing ovation. It later transpired Loren was actually the original voice behind the track.

Taryn Charles – 2024: Singer Taryn Charles is one of this year’s hopefuls lucky enough to receive the Golden Buzzer. Bruno Tonilio put her straight through to the semi-finals following her performance of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin, but it has now come to light that she is no stranger to TV. Viewers recognised Taryn from an episode of ITV1’s Starstruck, where she impersonated Whitney Houston for judges Olly Murs, Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight.

Olly Murs hosted the show with Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight among the judges as ordinary people turned into Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Michael Buble among others.

Taryn appeared as Whitney Houston and sang “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” along with two other singers.

But insiders told The Sun despite the acts taking multiple leaps at stardom, there is “no unfair advantage”.

“The winner is crowned by the public vote,” they said. “It’s fair game, as all acts are voted for by the public.

“The show has never hidden the fact that auditions are open to everybody, irrespective of previous experience, and everybody is given the same opportunity on the show”.

Taryn describes herself as a “neurodivergent warrior” on Instagram.

Neurodivergence is an umbrella term that describes people whose brains develop or work differently to ‘neurotypical’ peoples’ brains.
