SAM Thompson has sparked concern among fans after revealing he was hospitalised over the weekend.
The 31-year-old took to Instagram to share a snap of him with an IV drip in his arm.
He will return to host After Sun with Indiyah and Amy for the new series of Love Island[/caption]I’m a Celebrity champ Sam captioned the photo with: “Not had the best bank holiday weekend.”
In another post, since deleted, the Made in Chelsea star appeared to suggest his trip to the hospital was down to exhaustion as he confessed to trying to do too much at once.
Sam added that it had “caught up with him”.
It was recently revealed that Sam, who won I’m a Celebrity last year, will be taking a slight step back from his Love Island duties this year.
He will continue to host the spin-off After Sun, alongside main presenter Maya Jama and former Islanders Indiyah Polack and Amy Hart.
But Sam will not be hosting the official podcast, The Morning After, this year.
Instead Chris Taylor, who recently took part in the All Stars series, will be replacing Sam on the podcast.
Earlier this month it was reported Sam is getting ready to propose to his girlfriend Zara McDermott, another former Islander.
A source told OK! Magazine: “Sam is very close to proposing to Zara and think he will do it by the summer as they talk about getting married all the time and what their wedding would be like.
“They’re torn over having a traditional English wedding or doing something abroad in somewhere like Ibiza and just having all their friends and family out there for a few days.
“They both love a party and want to be able to celebrate in style.”
