Patsy already has a big claim to fame when it comes to Love Island — she is very close friends with Lili Piper, the lookalike sister of All Star Islander Sophie Piper.
When asked why she chose to go on Love Island now, Patsy said: “I’m finally ready to find a sexy man and I think Love Island may just have some nice hunky guys for me.
“I think now is the right time as I’ve got a few greys so I need to bag a man sooner rather than later.”
And addressing how her family and friends would describe her, Patsy explained: “My friends would say that I’m the loudest person in the group, I’m the one who’s always up for doing a dare. They’d say I was the life and soul of the party.
“My family would say that I’m bossy and that it’s always my way or the highway. They’d say I rule the roost.”
Patsy Field has the condition Erb’s Palsy — a birth defect affecting one of her arms[/caption]What condition does Love Island’s Patsy Field have?
Patsy has been very open about having Erb’s Palsy, a condition that means one of her arms is shorter than the other and it also has less function.
The birth defect occured after Patsy was delivered naturally rather than via Caesarean section.
It came about amid complications when her mother went into labour.
Sources are tipping Patsy to be a big success on Love Island for raising awareness for Erb’s Palsy.
An insider told the Mail:“Patsy is a brilliant signing for the show, she’s hilarious so will definitely bring good vibes and positive energy.
“She has never let her disability define her but she’s also excited for the opportunity to educate audiences who might not know about Erb’s palsy because awareness is key.”
What has Love Islander Patsy Field said about her disability?
Patsy has used her work as an Influencer to talk openly about her disability.
Speaking on social media, she told her followers: “One thing you guys don’t know about me is I have a disability.
“I have never spoken about it on here before because I am a bit self-conscious about it to be honest.
“Pretty much everyone says they don’t notice it, or they have never noticed it before but once I tell you go back and look through my old videos, you’ll be able to spot it.”
I was a normal, happy, healthy baby in my mama’s womb and the hospital f***ed up and gave me a disability, you f***ers.

Patsy went onto slam the hospital where she was born, and told fans: “I was a normal, happy, healthy baby in my mama’s womb and the hospital f***ed up and gave me a disability, you f***ers.
“I should have been a cesarean birth, but the midwife thought she could do it and she couldn’t… I was such a big baby, I was almost 11lb, a normal baby is like 7lb.
“I got stuck coming out of my mum… and they’re pulling and pulling and pulling and in the process of yanking me out, they have done some damage.
“They snapped the nerve that sends messages down from my brain down my spine to my right arm, messages are trying to send, and this computer says no.”
The beauty wants to raise awareness around her condition[/caption]When will Patsy Field be on Love Island?
Patsy will enter the Love Island villa on June 3, 2024, when the show kicks off.
The big launch night takes place on this day at 9pm on ITV2.
The show continues every night at this time except Saturdays, when a highlights episode airs instead.
The Sun previously revealed how Love Island bosses are planning a huge shake-up for the launch night.
ITV is going to air the dating show simultaneously across ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX for the first time.
A source said: “ITV want to throw their weight behind Love Island and make sure it has a big, glitzy moment when the 11th series kicks off next month.
“Showing it across every channel means creating what they hope will be a big TV moment. It shows there is still a real commitment to the format even nine years on.”
What is Erb's Palsy?
The condition stems from a difficult birth, when the baby’s head or arm is pulled during delivery.
This can damage nerves responsible for the movement and feeling to the arms.
In turn this can result in partial or full paralysis, depending on the level of damage caused.
Some 80-90 percent of children do fully recover, but it is entirely dependant on the amount of damage sustained.
