BBC Breakfast fans were left absolutely thrilled as Sally Nugent has been replaced by familiar face.
The flagship morning programme underwent a hosting shakeup as the longtime presenter was nowhere to be seen.
Usually Sally, 52, takes to the airwaves alongside Jon Kay on BBC Breakfast every Monday till Wednesday.
Jon, 54, was there to welcome viewers as usual on the Bank Holiday Monday edition.
However, she was nowhere to be seen as he co-hosted the show with another familiar BBC face.
Nina Warhurst, 43, was placed on the iconic red sofa as she presented the latest news and updates to wake viewers up.
She appeared on-screen as she was dressed in a black and yellow floral summer dress.
Viewers couldn’t help but flock to social media as they praised the star for her presenting skills.
Some viewers even thought she should be given a larger and more regular role on the show.
Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – one viewer wrote: “@BBCBreakfast @NinaWarhurst May the lovely Nina have a most wonderful Bank Holiday Monday. #BBCBreakfast.”
A second said: “Hello @BBCBreakfast. I think you should give Nina Warhurst a full time role on the programme, she’s too good and not on enough for my liking. #BBCBreakfast.”
“#BBCbreakfast Nina‘s looking very summery this morning,” wrote a third fan.
And a fourth wrote: “Tuned into #BBCBreakfast this morning. Looks like miserable Sally has decided she cannot work a bank holiday. Oh well! Much prefer her replacement Nina anyway.”
Nina has recently been in the hot seat for a number of days after Naga Munchetty also went missing from the long-time programme.
She sat in for the TV and radio personality for three days as she took a well deserved break.
