But today the bubbly blonde returned to her weather map to wake the nation with her forecast.

She said: “We’ve got some heavy and persistent rain moving northwards and westwards today.

“If you don’t have the rain it’s going to be fairly cloudy for you with some showers.”

Telly fave Carol donned a gorgeous blue blouse with a figure-hugging pencil skirt.

She wore her blonde hair down and paired the look with pearl earrings and a smartwatch.

Fans couldn’t get enough of Carol and rushed online with a string of lovely comments.

Who are the current presenters of BBC Breakfast?

The flagship BBC show has had dozens of presenters during its impressive 40 years on air but the current stars are:

While one commented: “Carol you are so lovely.”

The Scots host was joined on the big red sofa by co-stars Jon Kay and Sally Nugent.

The news anchors chewed over the day’s headlines including the latest on the Post Office scandal.
