The mother-of-four, who split from her ex whilst pregnant with her fourth baby, will be taking her youngest two daughters with her for the life-changing event whilst elder daughters Teja, 22, and Tiani, 19, remain in the UK.
She had already moved her family from their large house in Birmingham to an apartment close to the set of the Channel 4 soap two years ago after landing her acting role.
Now with her house officially sold, Jamelia was left comforting her daughter as she said her goodbyes before leaving.
In an exclusive first-look clip at tonight’s Drama Queens, Jamelia says to her daughter during a heartfelt embrace: “I love you so much.
‘I can’t believe it… Just please keep yourself safe, remember you are loved and remember you can change your mind at any moment.”
Her daughter sobs as her new reality begins to set in that she will be thousands of miles away from her mum and two young sisters.
Speaking to the camera on the show, the Superstar singer said: “Part of my worry is that: ‘Is my love enough for my children to stay bonded and connected to me?'”
“I know that it is a very real worry and the only way I am going to find out is if I let them go.
“I am worried about her but I am also really proud of her. This is exciting. But I have no idea what’s there
“Everything I have done in my life I have gone for it and this is another thing that I want to go for
“I am not afraid of pivoting. I am not afraid of the unknown. At some point you are going to hit the jackpot and I believe this is where it is. I really do…”
Jamelia has previously opened up on the programme about how she and her children were left abandoned by her ex-partner.
Jamelia was left devastated after her husband walked out while she was pregnant with their child in spring 2022.
She has spoke about her life candidly on Drama Queens[/caption]She was then left her to be a single mum to her four daughters.
Jamelia revealed to The Daily Star: “When I was four-and-a-half months pregnant, my relationship broke down. Me and my daughters were abandoned.
“It was an unexpected life change that absolutely devastated us and changed everything.
“It was like a sledgehammer went through our lives. I thought it was the end of my life because my relationship had ended.”
