A LOOSE Women star has begged Chelsea Flower Show organisers to explain why she’s snubbed from the event every year.
Every year famous faces turn out for the annual gardening event put on by the Royal Horticultural Society.
But one person who has revealed she never makes the list is Loose Women panellist Nadia Sawalha.
Nadia, 59, took to Instagram to share a clip asking event bosses to tell her why her request to attend is denied each year – and joked that it’s because she’s “common”.
She said: “This is a serious question, to the Chelsea Flower Show. What have I done to p*** you off?
“I got invited one year, came with my mum, it was lovely. I had the cake and just one glass of champagne. I took photos… and my mum and my mother-in-law ask me every year whether we can go again.
“And I haven’t been able to tell them that whenever I do ask you always say no. I just have to pretend every year that I’ve forgotten to ask.”
Laughing, Nadia continued: “What have I actually done? I’ve seen that everyone was there again today. I’ve got a nice garden, we’ve got a gardening show on our YouTube channel. I do a lot on social media.
“I know I’m a Z list celebrity but who have I p***** off? Is it cos I’m from south London? Is it because I’m a bit common?”
One star who was seen at the show yesterday was Amanda Holden, who was joined by her rarely-seen mum Judith.
Amanda wore a stunning red and white floral dress to the event, while Judith opted for a smart white trouser suit with pink chiffon scarf.
Meanwhile Nadia recently revealed why she will never do Strictly Come Dancing.
Explaining that she would turn the iconic show down because of husband Mark Adderley, she said: “It would be highly unusual for him to say he didn’t want me to do a job.
“But there would be certain jobs – I’ve spoken about this and Mark’s spoken openly about this, he did, years ago, suffer with jealousy.
“So there’s certain jobs that I just wouldn’t do. I wouldn’t do Strictly or anything like that.
“If I went home now and said, ‘They’ve asked me to do Strictly,’ he’d say, ‘Oh, great, do it.’ But I know possibly what the cost could be.”
