EASTENDERS fans have hit out at an ongoing storyline involving Linda Carter, complaining that her troubles have lasted too long.
The pub owner has relapsed with her alcohol addiction recently after the stress of killing Keanu Taylor got to her.

As tensions escalated when Keanu’s body was found, Linda has been seen drinking wine from plastic cups in an attempt to keep her habit a secret.
In another recent EastEnders scene she got plastered by herself at The Vic and was visibly swaying while helping herself to snacks with a bottle in hand.
Viewers have been surprised that none of Linda’s family members seem to be staging an intervention.
Several confessed although the storyline is realistic, they are now getting tired of it and want to see her make a recovery.
One person shared: “I know there’s no realistic magic turn around when it comes to addiction but she hasn’t even tried.
“Go to therapy, tell them your rapist was harassing you for half a year, you know? She could end up like Billie Jackson and leave young Ollie & Annie fatherless and motherless if she’s not careful.”
A second sighed: “I’m very 50/50 with this relapse storyline, while I appreciate they’re showing the realism of addiction and Linda’s guilt over Keanu – I have to admit as a big fan of L, I’m starting to get bored. It doesn’t help with the fact that Elaine & the Knights have just accepted her downing her bottles of wine every single day right in front of them without shouting for her to get help like Mick & Shirley would’ve.”
Another heartbroken fan added: “It makes me very sad to watch. I have seen first hand the damage an alcoholic mother can do to her children and how the addiction becomes more powerful than her love for her children. I don’t find any of it amusing, just so very sad.”
A fourth agreed: “We lost my Mother in law to her alcohol addiction. It was horrible to see a vibrant, youthful, fun loving, generous and kind woman become a sad, disabled, mean and weak person all due to the drink. It changed her whole personality completely and killed her at 52. So sad.”
One person speculated that the current events might lead to her having long term health complications, saying: “The fact she’s drinking so much makes me wonder if she’s gonna have a major health problem coming up similar to Phil and she’ll need a transplant.”
Meanwhile the rest of The Six had to band together to get Sharon out of jail after she was blamed for Keanu’s murder.
