KAY Burley has updated fans on her future at Sky News Breakfast after being absent from screen.
The long-term presenter, 63, recently sparked panic by disappearing from her role just a day after returning.

Making a triumphant return to the programme earlier this week, she immediately raised concern after pulling out from hosting the following day’s edition.
Instead, Wilfred Frost, Leah Boletto and Mhari Aurora took control of that Sky News Breakfast programme.
Viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their concern, with one writing: “#kayburley was back for a day, then missing again? Best job in the world?”
On Friday, the broadcaster posted a short video on Instagram, updating her loyal followers.
Sharing that she was “not often in London” on a Friday, Kay explained she had been at the Irish Embassy and discussed her career with a group of journalists.
She continued: “They asked me if I’d ever made a mistake. The answer is yes, of course, I make mistakes every single day.
“Hopefully though, I learn from them. The bigger mistake is if you don’t learn from your mistakes.”
Kay added: “Learn from your mistakes. I will see you bright and early on Monday morning.”
Previously, the television star emotionally revealed that her sister was battling cancer in an online post.
She posted a picture with her ‘baby sister’ Jacqueline to her thousands of social media followers.
Captioning the snap, Kay revealed: “Jacqueline, who has been stoic in her determination to take on a disease that claimed both my mother and grandmother.”
She added: “Doesn’t she look fabulous in her wig?”
Kay had also discussed her mother’s battle with cancer and tragic death on Good Morning Britain back in 2018.
