A THIS Morning star has revealed he’s been left heartbroken after his close friend passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer.
The presenter, 49, took to Instagram to share the sad news alongside a sweet video montage of photos of the two pals.
Gok Wan wrote: “After many years of fighting, Ali has finally ended her battle and is now at peace, resting with the stars.
“Ali passed away today with her family by her side. Her wonderful son, Tash, who she loved with all her might, reassured us Ali was not in pain and comfortable.”
Gok added: “We spent many years preparing for this moment but no amount of talks or planning could have prepared me for this overwhelming pain.
“I miss her so much already. Her wisdom. Her smile. Her naughtiness. Her kind touch. Her everything.”
Gok’s friends and followers were quick to send messages of condolences.
His This Morning co-star Alison Hammond said: “So sorry about your loss Gok , how lovely to have had a special friend like Ali . Love to you and her family and friends . Rip.”
Made in Chelsea’s Ollie Locke wrote: “Oh darling, She was so loved and so many wonderful memories, she was one in a million! Thinking of you today!”
And Lisa Snowdon added: “Gok. Darling. I’m sending you so much love. What a wonderful woman and how lucky you both were to have found one another and shared so much, the laughter, the love, the dancing, so many special moments.”
Meanwhile fashion expert Gok – who has made the successful transition to TV cook and regularly whips up dishes on the ITV show – recently left some fans stunned when they realised he has another career.
Gok’s DJ career took off in 2017 but one fan recently shared a clip of him behind the decks on social media.
They wrote: “You man didn’t know Gok Wan is a DJ now.”
But they weren’t the only one, as another replied: “This man has been a stylist, a TV host, a chef, an author and now a dj. I wanna be Gok so bad.”
