ACTOR Chris Reilly has revealed the toughest day he had on set was when “Jason Statham” kicked his “head in” for six hours.

The Scot appeared alongside the action star in the 2021 Guy Ritchie flick Wrath of Man.

Clydebank-born Chris Reilly only tried acting in his 30s.

But he nearly got knocked out when he had to film a fight scene with Statham’s body double.

He says: “Jason’s stuntman basically kicked my head in for six solid hours. It was the hardest day’s work I’ve ever done in my life.

“He nearly knocked me out with the butt of a knife. It caught me in the jaw and we locked eyes after it. My jaw was throbbing for ages after.

“But this wee stuntman bought me a coffee afterwards to make up for it.”

He adds: “We filmed it between London and LA.

“But it was funny because when I got the part I only had a few lines but was told that because my character Tom was part of the team there might be more to it.

“Sure enough Guy Ritchie just kept giving me more and more lines.

“So I ended up having a really good part in the film. Apparently that’s just the way he works.”

Now Chris is hoping to make films and TV shows himself after launching his own production company Shift Media Productions.

He says: “I’m working with two screenwriter brothers Dominic and John Reynolds who I met doing radio drama.

“We’ve teamed up to try and get films and TV shows made – hopefully more swiftly, which is why I named the company Shift.”
