But a year on, and Lynda looks happy and in love, showing off her new beau on TikTok.
In the sweet clip, Lynda was seen following the lyrics of Sunday by The Cranberries with her new beau, spinning around before he picked her up by the waist, and then gave her a piggy back, ending in a pose.
On the video is the text: “You’ll never find love after Love Island they said…”
The caption added: “There is love outside Love Island #foundlove #loveisland #couple”
Followers were quick to add their celebrations, with one writing, “Awww you two look cute!”
“I’m so happy you’ve found love,” added a second,
However, others were quick to troll her, with dozens of messages saying they “didn’t know she was on Love Island” or “had zero recollection of her”.
Lynda, 23, has been open about how disappointing she found her experience on the show, saying she never wanted to be a Casa Amor girl and felt snubbed by the edit.
Even fans noticed that she had ‘disappeared’ from their screens as the hour-long run time was taken up by other couples.
A week after leaving the show, Lynda told her Instagram followers: “I feel like I’ve got a lot to say.
“On the last day before I came home my sister told me that I had no air time, and to be honest I was really down and upset about it.”
She added: “I thought, ‘what was the point of me being there?'”
“But coming out and seeing all the messages has been so overwhelming and I appreciate all of the support because I was feeling really low about it.”
“Going in there I wanted to be my full self, I didn’t want to force anything that wasn’t going to be comfortable for me,” she added.
“Maybe I wasn’t the guys’ type in there.”
However, Lynda said she did have chats with the boys but they never made it to air.
