The star is currently being impersonated by an Instagram account pretending to be her with it racking up thousands of followers.

Jessica has confessed to actively avoiding social media despite her celebrity status yet a new account is following thousands of her fans into believing they are her.

The account has been sharing clips from the Netflix show as well as using the word “official” in the handle of the account.

It has also used some of Martha’s famous quotes in the biography of the account.

Despite the account not actually belonging to actress Jessica, her fans have flocked to the comments sections to praise the star believing that she is solely responsible for running the account.

One fan wrote to her: “You played this deeply flawed character with so much humanity and compassion.

“Truly a masterpiece of acting. You must feel so proud! Congratulations. What an achievement!”

As another added: “Hey I just want you to know that you did ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in Baby Reindeer. Truly exquisite performance.”

However, they were actually sharing their messages of support with a total stranger who is not Jessica.

It comes as the real Martha, Fiona Harvey, is set to speak out in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

She is hoping to “set the record straight” in a tell-all interview with Piers tonight.

Internet sleuths were quick to track down Fiona Harvey and identify her as the inspiration behind the obsessive stalker after the mini-series launched last month.

In an Instagram post last night, Morgan said: “The real-life Martha from Baby Reindeer breaks cover and gives me her first TV interview about the smash hit Netflix show.

“Fiona Harvey wants to have her say & ‘set the record straight.’

The real life Fiona Harvey

Fiona, 58, is from Fyvie, Aberdeenshire and says she met Gadd years ago when he was a bartender at The Hawley Arms in London’s Camden.

She admits to befriending him and claims she gifted him a pair of “tartan M&S pants” to congratulate him on one of his comedy shows.

But she denies she stalked him.

“I am very attractive. He’s not Brad Pitt,” she told The Scottish Sun.

“I have a claim against Netflix as this is being billed as part of a true story.

“There’s a fat actress that’s supposed to be me.

“I’m a highly competent lawyer. I’d have to do it myself. I’m very good.

“I have a photographic memory and can memorise huge files. I was top in my school at everything.”

As for how she discovered the show, she says she first became aware of it when Gadd took it to Edinburgh Fringe Festival as a one-man show.

She said: “He’s come up with this character called Martha and he has put me right in the frame.

“This is a programme for the 20-somethings. The people with no lives, no jobs, whatever. I don’t want to be a celebrity.”

“Is she a psycho stalker? Find out tomorrow on @piersmorganuncensored.”

The trailer text for the interview reads: “The ‘real Martha’ from Baby Reindeer tomorrow on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

“sent from my ihphone.”

In Baby Reindeer, the Martha character often signs off her emails as if they were sent from an iPhone – despite being from her laptop – and are misspelt in a variety of ways.
