EUROVISION legend Cheryl Baker has slammed UK entry Olly Alexander ahead of this weekend’s final.
Cheryl, 70, whose band Bucks Fizz won the contest in 1981, added to backlash the fomer Years & Years frontman has faced since announcing his participation.
Speaking to The Sun on behalf of Heart Bingo, she said: “I don’t think we’ll win. I love Olly. I loved him as Years and Years.
“And I love them as Years and Years. And I love their voice. Everything about them, I think they’re great.
“But the song doesn’t do it for me. When it starts, you think, it’s okay. But then it doesn’t go anywhere.
“You know, dare I say it, you need a couple of key changes. And it just makes it lift. So I know that their performance is going to be extraordinary because we’ve seen clips of it on YouTube and stuff.
“So I’m hoping that that pulls it out of the bag for him. I still don’t think it’s a winning song, unfortunately. Sorry, Olly.”
Desire hitmaker Olly will be competing in the most-watched contest in the world this weekend in Malmo, Sweden, with his song Dizzy.
And while he teamed up with Dua Lipa‘s producer for the track, it appears his efforts haven’t won fans over.
Some compared him to fellow pop star Sam Smith, famed for their shock-factor performances.
A first look saw Olly sporting a plastic jock strap over red combat trousers.
He was accompanied by semi-naked dancers wearing boxing-style shorts and jock straps, thrusting and sticking out their tongues.

The event will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday night.
Scott Mills and Rylan Clark will once again be commentating on all the Eurovision action for the BBC.
Graham Norton will then take over duties for the grand final on Saturday.
