A FORMER Coronation Street actor has landed his first TV role since leaving the soap.
Chris Gascoyne has joined the cast of new domestic thriller The Feud, which will air on Channel 5.

He has been cast in the role of Lee, described as an “intimidating builder.”
The Feud stars Jill Halfpenny as Emma Barnett alongside Rupert Penry-Jones as John Barnett, who appear to live an idyllic life with teenage daughter Beth (Megan Trower).
When Emma and John decide to add a kitchen extension to their house, their close friendships in Shelbury Drive are disrupted.

The drama reveals how Emma’s aspirational dream turns into obsession, paranoia and fear – setting events in motion which have unforeseeable consequences for her and others living on the street.
Jill and Rupert previously co-starred in Channel 5 miniseries The Drowning, which aired in 2021.
Other key characters include the couple’s close friends, Sonia (Downton Abbey star Amy Nuttall) and Alan (Harry Potter actor Ray Fearon).
The Feud features an all-star cast[/caption]Also appearing are older couple Derek (Vicar of Dibley actor James Fleet) and Barbara (Tessa Peake-Jones, known for playing ‘Raquel’ in Only Fools and Horses).
Further cast additions include Derry Girls actress Jamie Lee O’Donnell as PC Gallagher, a scorned police officer.
Gavin and Stacey and EastEnders actor Larry Lamb is lined up as Terry, Emma’s wheeler-dealer father.
Alex Macqueen, Judith Alexander, Joel Beckett, Luke Hammond and Joel Kai Ali round out the cast.
