Nichola was ecstatic when she heard the news that she was pregnant.

She’s now taken to The Sun to discuss the timeline of events that led to her pregnancy.

Nichola said: “For so long, my career was my priority.

“It’s interesting how my priorities shifted from my career, to wanting to be a mother.

“When I first for fertility tests, however, I found out that I only had a 20% chance of becoming a mum.

“It was devastating to hear that. I found out from a simple letter after one blood test.

Nichola decided to go down the IVF route, collecting her eggs to be frozen. But after that failed, she was left hopeless and feeling like a failure.

She said: “I came to an understanding that it simply wouldn’t happen. Kids have always been a part of my world, so I wasn’t missing out on the experience, so I just had to come to terms with maybe my own was never meant to be and focus on being a great aunt.

“But last Christmas came with a miracle.

“I decided to go back to the fertility clinic to check for further deterioration. I went together with my current partner – we were once together 10 years ago and decided to rekindle our love again in 2023.

“When anticipating a phone call of bad news, it was then by pure amazement the unexpected happened.

“I am told I am already pregnant through natural conception!

“It was truly a miracle. My partner and I rekindled our romance and our love blossomed into this miracle baby. We were shell shocked when we found out the news.

“I look back on this journey in complete awe. I went from choosing my career as a priority, to prioritising children and trying everything out of want, regardless of cost, effort and impact. In the end, I had accepted nature for what it was.

“But sometimes you just have to let nature run its course- it is all about the right time, right person, right place.”

Nichola served in the Navy and the Army for 10 years where she volunteered for an active tour in Iraq, specialising in interrogation and specialist debriefing.

After her time in Iraq, she undertook an additional frontline tour in Afghanistan.

The TV series Hunted, in which Nichola starred in, sees contestants attempt to outrun professional hunters with the winning team bagging a cash prize.

The Hunted use intuition, determination and cutting-edge technical surveillance to try and track down the stars.

They are made up of former police officers, intelligence, and army personnel, aim to track down these famous fugitives by any means possible.
