THE third series of Clarkson’s Farm has ploughed to the top of the TV charts — quickly harvesting 10.7 million views.

Prime Video released the first four episodes on Friday and they beat Sir David Attenborough’s Mammals on BBC1, and Netflix stalker drama Baby Reindeer.

Between Friday and Sunday the first episode got 3.7 million views, the second three million, and third and fourth episodes two million each.

A TV insider said: “This will be greeted with glee by Jeremy, whose hard work, frustration and clashes with sidekick Kaleb Cooper will have all been worth it.

“Nobody would have predicted that a show about farming would have been such a smash.

“Prime will also be thrilled to overtake arch-rival Netflix and the BBC.”

The show is well on target to beat its seven-day record — 4.3 million views of series two’s first episode last year.

In the new episodes Jeremy loses half his cows at Diddly Squat Farm and replaces them with pigs — only for many to die.

Four more episodes land on Friday.

Figures released last year showed that the second series of Clarkson’s Farm was the only streamed TV programme that made it into the top 40 most-watched shows of from August 2022 to August 2023.

In total, the second series watched by 4.6 million, and no other shows from the other big streamers – Netflix, Apple TV+ and Disney+ – made it into the top league.

In a list of the top 40 watched by young people, 14 shows were on streaming services and the show came top again, with 1.6 million tuning in.

Filming of the fourth series is currently taking place at Diddly Squat Farm and is likely to air in 2025.
