THE MEDICAL staff in Casualty will have a lot to contend next week and lives will be threatened in a horror fire.
The hospital will also be rocked when it is put under investigation.
Jacob faces pressure at work and at home next week[/caption] Meanwhile Rash gets a shock when he finds himself treating a familiar face[/caption]This is a full breakdown of Casualty’s upcoming spoilers.
1. Jacob visits Danielle
Jacob has been taking care of his grandson[/caption]Jacob has been taking care of his baby grandson Carter ever since he found him abandoned.
Next week, Jacob will head to prison to visit Danielle, Carter’s mum.
But he’s hesitant and tells her this may not be the safest decision. This upsets Danielle and prompts her to end the visit early.
2. Jacob and Iain put their lives on the line
Jacob and Iain find themselves in the middle of a terrifying fire[/caption]Jacob will be at the centre of another explosive storyline next week. He and Iain are the first to arrive at a block of flats which are on fire.
Jacob puts his life on the line when he realises someone is trapped inside. The paramedic heads in, against Iain’s advice.
Thankfully he manages to escape with Owen and Abi and gets them to the ambulance where Iain treats them, but is anyone injured?
3. Iain offers Jacob some advice
Ian encourages Jacob to think about what’s best for Carter[/caption]Later, Jacob and Iain come together again to talk about Carter’s future, with Iain offering his colleague some words of advice.
When they speak, Jacob is fuming because of a conversation he just was with social worker Tonya.
He tells her that Carter shouldn’t grow up in jail but Tonya wants him and Danielle to work out an agreement that’s in Carter’s best interests.
Thinking Tonya is taking sides, Jacob speaks to Iain, telling him he knows he can provide a better life for Carter than Danielle can in prison. However, Iain reminds him that this may not be his call to make. Will Jacob be forced to back down?
4. Rash treats a familiar face
Rash is shocked when Uma doesn’t recognize him[/caption]Rash has been struggling with his mental health in recent weeks but next week he seems to be in a better place as he treats a patient with Tariq.
He later spots Uma – his therapist – in the waiting room with an injured hand, but it’s awkward when she clearly doesn’t recognise him.
Rash eventually has to introduce himself and they make small talk, but he’s left shaken by the experience and asks Tariq to take over.
5. Patrick has it out for Rash
Rash clashes with Patrick over procedure[/caption]After running into Uma, Rash treats another patient called Yannick, who isn’t satisfied with his test results. Rash agrees to do a MRI, but that comes back clear too.
Rash is happy that he addressed her concerns but Patrick sees her chart and is angry an MRI was ordered unnecessarily.
Rash fights back and argues his case, leaving his colleagues shocked.
6. The hospital is put under investigation
Siobhan must face the consequences[/caption]Siobhan is forced to face the consequences of her video blunder last week when Patrick says the ED is now under investigation.
Siobhan is confident no one in the department would have reported them but this just leaves Patrick even more concerned.
When a Panorama-style documentary on the ED is released, Patrick has to pick up the pieces.
7. Stevie checks in with Dylan
Dylan is struggling and has no confidence in himself[/caption]Following Dylan’s departure from the hospital, Stevie struggles to cover his workload.
Faith is worried about her and pushes Steve to check in with Dylan, but when she finds him on his boat she’s shocked to see what state he’s in.
Steve tries to remind Dylan what a great doctor he is but he has lost all confidence and no longer trusts himself.
Will he ever come back?
