GOGGLEBOX legends Dave and Shirley shared a rare video of their son Simon and celebrated his major achievement.
The couple’s son doesn’t feature with them on the Channel 4 reality show, and fans were shocked at how much he resembled his dad after he completed the Newport marathon.
Dave and Shirley cheered him on along the route and shared video of Simon in action on Instagram.
They wrote: “Our son Simon running in the Newport marathon, go son he’s all in black 26miles in front of him good luck butt xxx.”
And when he crossed the finish line they proudly announced his time, writing: “Well done son 3hrs 46mins massively proud get in there xxx.”
The congratulatory messages flocked in.
One fan commented: “Looks so like his dad!! Well done.”
Another agreed, saying: “I thought that was Dave.”
A third posted: “Well done to your Son , a great achievement.”
Back in October, Simon completed the Cardiff Half Marathon and was once again cheered on by his parents.
The popular Welsh couple celebrated their 47th anniversary just weeks later.
Dave wrote at the time: “Happy anniversary to my lovely wife 47 years she deserves a medal.”
While Simon and his sister Gemma flew the nest long ago, Dave and Shirley aren’t completely alone at home.
They live with their dear pet pooch Bleu, a French bulldog that often features in their Twitter posts.
The married couple joined the Gogglebox family in 2015.
When they aren’t filming David is a cleaner in a factory and Shirley works in retail.
