MONTY Don fans rushed to support the star as he shared a touching tribute to his beloved dog.
As well as his fresh gardening tips, the BBC personality is known for his love of dogs.
Monty Don previously lost his pet pooch Nell to cancer back in October[/caption] He posted a heartbreaking tribute to his beloved pet on Instagram[/caption] Ned and Nell have both regularly appeared alongside the presenter on the beloved BBC show[/caption]Monty, 68, currently has Ned and Patti and he regularly updates his fans with pictures of his canine companions on social media.
The presenter previously revealed that Nell– aka Nellie – sadly passed away from cancer back in October last year.
Last month he posted a heartbreaking tribute to his late pooch that sadly passed away.
The Gardener’s World star took to his instagram story of a pot of planted purple tulips.
At the bottom of the clay outdoor vase was a small black incision in the shape of a golden retriever.
This was alongside an engraving of the name, ‘Nell’ as he shared the behind the scenes memorial snap.
He uploaded the snap onto his grid page alongside the caption: “The Nell pot (trickier to read, but it’s there).”
Monty was flooded with comments from fans as they wanted to send messages of support to the star, after the post received over 21,000 likes.
One fan wrote: “What a sweet tribute. Beautiful flowers for a beautiful girl. ”
As a second stated: “How lovely for Nell .”
“Perfect memorial to a memorable Nell ,” noted a third.
As a fourth fan commented: “Like Nigel, never forgotten either.”
And a fifth user added: “Love this memorial terra!Whenever we see Nigel and Nell on your Roku channel we sigh and smile more brightly.”
At the time of her death, Monty opened up to his fans in an emotional post.
Fans got to know the canines after both Ned and Nell appeared on the popular BBC show.
He shared a string of snaps of the pair together as he said: “I was going to tell you about my new book which is published next week but that can wait because my lovely dear Nell died last night.
“She was diagnosed with cancer in June and every day this summer has been a gift but it is over now.
“We buried her in the garden next to Nigel wrapped in one of my jackets with flowers, balls and her favourite biscuits.”
He added: “Her end was peaceful and dignified and ended obvious suffering but it never gets any easier to bear. So life goes on, but for the moment we are very, very sad.”
