PRIME Video viewers have been left ‘too scared to sleep’ after a grisly new horror series.
The series Them: The Scare has been given a perfect audience score of 100% on the movie review website Rotten Tomatoes.
The second instalment of the ‘Them’ anthology franchise made its debut on Amazon Prime on 25th April and has been widely praised by viewers.
True Detective actress Deborah Ayorinde leads the cast of the new programme called ‘The Scare’.
This is alongside Pam Grier from Quentin Tarantino’s smash hit movie Jackie Brown, as well as singer and songwriter Luke James.
The first series was set in 1953 when a family form North Carolina moved to Los Angeles but with disastrous consequences.
Now, the new instalment is set in 1991 and it follows Detective Dawn Reeve (Deborah Ayorinde) from the LAPD.
She is assigned to investigate a horrifying murder case that has left even the most tough of the force shaking in their boots.
However, in her search for the truth something evil catches uo with both her and her family.
As viewers tuned into the series, many were left absolutely terrified by the plot.
However, taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – they widely praised the performances of the cast.
One fan wrote: “Them – The Scare” on Prime is terrifying.”
A second exclaimed: “The @ThemOnPrime stories are truly terrifying. Season 2 – THEM: TheScare – still haunts me!”
“Them The Scare is genuinely terrifying and unsettling,” noted a third viewer.
As a fourth recommended the series: “If you’re looking for something that will legitimately scare the beejesus out of you – give “Them” (Season 2) a try! It’s true crime fiction/paranormal and it is TERRIFYING.”
This was as a fifth fan stated: “If you haven’t please check out them – the scare, legitimately terrifying performances.”
And a sixth viewer even hinted that they needed help to sleep after watching the streaming show.
They posted: “Luke James needs all the awards! He did that in Them: The Scare! A little too well. Now I gotta find something to watch to go to sleep.”
