She was responsible for doing the hair and makeup for Richard Gadd, 34, and his co-star Jessica Gunning, 38, who played the stalker Martha Scott.

And Lobo-Cranston has shared how she put her skills to work on the production.

In a series of behind-the-scenes shots, she has posted startling before and after pictures of Gadd and Gunning.

They show the acting pair beaming with fresh faces, alongside images of them looking washed out and haggard.

During scenes where Gadd was injured, Lobo-Cranston applied strikingly realistic looking cuts and bruises to his face.

In one violent bar scene, he was left dripping in blood with fake wounds.

Taking to social media, Lobo-Cranston wrote: “Mr Richard Gadd’s stages of looking younger to slowly breaking down through drugs and the demise of being stalked.

“We had so many stages that had to be subtle and look real, authentic and raw. It was a joy to work and look after Richard and we had a some giggles along the way. Bex Palmer helped look after Richard for me on set beautifully and always with warmth, kindness and a supply of coffee in the mornings.”

For Gunning, Lobo-Cranston, of Leeds, West Yorkshire, made her skin look more aged and turned her roots grey.

She also painted fake age spots, broken capillaries, and veining on the actress.

Posting about how she pulled off the impressive transformation, she wrote: “For the aging process, Faye my supervisor dyed Jess’ hair to take out her red/ copper tones to create a mousey colour. Her hair was cut short, grey wefts applied and Faye hand painted her roots daily.

“I used Bluebird aging on Jess’s face as prosthetics were not an option. Age spots, broken capillaries and veining finely painted in. Her look was left raw.

“I had great fun creating Martha and all her looks. Interesting process getting her hair to the right colour with the correct amount of grey.”

Lobo-Cranston has worked in the makeup department for other big productions, including Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Ant -Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The character of Martha is reportedly based on Aberdeenshire law graduate Fiona Harvey.

The 58-year-old has hit the headlines since the show landed on the online streaming service.
