Sunday night’s instalment of the programme saw escape artist called Danny ZZZZ accidentally set a massive box on fire on stage.

Bruno asked if Danny was alright, as Alesha said: “Is something going wrong guys?”

The act managed to get himself out of the box and told the judges that it wasn’t meant to turn out like that.

The stuntman confessed: “I was supposed to get out the front, didn’t quite work that way!”

A confused Simon asked if it was meant to happen, to which he added: “It wasn’t supposed to catch on fire yet!”

One audition featuring a water torture cell left viewers shivering in 2022.

Arriving on stage wearing a dressing gown, escapologist Andrew Basso, 36, later nearly drowned performing the terrifying act.

Andrew explained to the judges that Harry Houdini had described the act, which represented the “peak of his creation” as the “most dangerous and difficult”.

He had to escape a box full of water and unpick a lock while handcuffed upside down.

The escapologist told them: “I will escape in two minutes.

“Any longer, and I may not come out alive. I’m risking my life.”

The dramatic music started as soon as the clock started ticking, but the audience started to worry when it stopped at 2:36.

Andrew frantically tried to put the key into the lock to escape.

A worried Alesha asked: “Is this part of the act?”

The audience went quiet as Andrew looked around with a stressed look on his face.

Then at 3:03 he managed to push through and he escaped with his life.

The Scottish singer shocked bosses by bursting into a jealous rage during a BGT semi-final.

The church-going star became furious when her favourite judge, Piers Morgan, complimented fellow contestant Shaheen Jafargholi instead of her.

As Piers declared the Welsh schoolboy’s act as “the finest singing performance we have witnessed in the semi-finals thus far,” Susan – who admitted she had a crush on Piers – stuck two fingers up at the telly and shouted “f***off”.

Fuming, she reportedly stormed off to her room at the Wembley Plaza Hotel and stayed there in a strop for the rest of the evening.

Around 150 guests were said to have witnessed the commotion.

One onlooker was reported to say: “Everyone was stunned by her reaction.”

Edward Pinder

Simon Cowell is game when it comes to playing the assistant on BGT – but this time it went wrong

Edward Pinder, 11, asked Simon Cowell to join him on stage back in 2014, but it all went wrong.

Simon volunteerd after seeing talented Edward throwing knives at his own mum.

But the BGT boss was very nervous and flinched.

On his second throw, Edward almost sliced Simon’s left shoulder.

He chucked the knife and it hit Simon before falling to the ground.

Thankfully, Simon wasn’t hurt.

Amanda quipped afterwards: “You almost killed Simon Cowell!”

Edward told The Sun later: “Simon was a bit nervous.

“It was going on in the back of my mind that I could throw the knives a bit closer, but in the end I thought, ‘no, better not.’”

The Witch

The Witch left some viewers switching off

Some Britain’s Got Talent fans were left switching off after a terrifying Witch kept turning up out of nowhere.

The magical crone appeared gave Amanda an exploding apple, full of cockroaches and mealworms.

It resulted in the mysterious auditionee was dubbed the series’ scariest act ever.

The actor behind Britain’s Got Talent’s creepy Witch character finally broke his silence a year after sparking nightmares among viewers.

The act later made a comeback for the one-off special Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician.
