Eurovision Song Contest final will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
The semi-finals leading up to the big night will be from Tuesday, May 14, 2024, until Thursday, May 16, 2024.
During the semi-finals the entries will be whittled down from 37 acts to 26 finalists.
The song contest has been traditionally held in May since 1995.
Before this, the show would be held anywhere between March and May.
The very first Eurovision Song Contest final was held on May 24, 1956.
Where will Eurovision 2024 be held?
For 2024, Sweden will do the hosting honours after singer Loreen notched up her second Eurovision win with Tattoo in 2023.
The Swedes have chosen Malmo as the city to welcome acts and fans from across the globe, with the local arena being used as the venue.
In 2023, the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Liverpool.
This was because Ukraine wasn’t able to host the famous song contest, after Kalush Orchestra won in 2022.
Thanks to Sam Ryder we finished second that year and therefore the hosting duties were down to the UK.
Seven cities were taken into consideration to host the big event however the city of Liverpool had the strongest bid.
In Eurovision’s history, there have been several instances where a previous year’s winner didn’t host the contest.
The last time this happened was in 1980 when the Netherlands stepped in after Israel declined to host for the second year in a row.

“As a young boy I always looked forward to this incredible event of unbridled joy, the wonderfully chaotic mix of musical styles, theatrical performances, heartfelt emotion and humour.
“I really can’t believe I’m going to be a part of such a special legacy and fly the flag for the UK in the gayest way possible, it shall be an honour!”
