PETER Andre has responded to one of his fans who took credit for inspiring their newborn baby daughter’s name.
His follower commented beneath his post after his wife Emily announced their daughter’s name to fans today – following weeks of struggling to decide.
The couple finally settled on calling the tot Arabella Rose, after her birth on April 2.
Pete, 51, today admitted Emily had the honour of making the final decision.
Writing beneath his post, one of his followers commented: “A name I suggested to you both.
“Such a beautiful name. Little Bella.”
Peter had a gracious reply and write back “it’s perfect” alongside a red heart emoji.
Emily, 34, announced their baby name news on Instagram, as fans breathed a sigh of relief.
She posted a new beautiful photoshoot of their baby, showing their precious bundle of joy sleeping in a blanket.
The mum captioned two professional photos: “It’s taken a while but after lots of deliberation we’ve finally decided. Arabella Rose Andréa.”
Comments poured in from their delighted fans, as one shared: “Well that was worth the wait … what a beautiful name for a beautiful baby.”
Another said: “It was definitely worth the wait. Beautiful.”
The couple are also doting parents to 10-year-old Amelia, and seven-year-old Theo.
During Emily’s third pregnancy, Pete said they found it hard to agree on baby name choices for their other children too.
Florence and Charlotte were in the running for a girl, and a name that Peter said was becoming “extinct” if they had a boy.
But despite having a healthy selection of choices, Peter said they were still stumped.
He wrote in his column: “I really like Keanu. It’s crazy to think names could be wiped out. Maybe this will give us some inspiration.
“But we have no idea what we’ll call the baby!”
The star added that they wanted to call their older daughter Amelia ‘Rose’ when she was born ten years ago, but they also changed their minds at the last minute.
“Millie didn’t get her name for the first six weeks of her life, as we started with Rose before settling on Millie,” he said in his new magazine column.
Paying a nod to Millie’s original name choice, they finally agreed on Arabella Rose.
Arabella has multiple meanings – including ‘yielding to prayer’ in Latin, ‘eagle heroine’ in German, and ‘beautiful’ in English.
