LOVE Island’s Jess Gale has revealed what really happened in the build up to her public clash with ex Callum Jones at a glitzy event.

The villa beauty ditched Callum, who she finished in fourth place with in the All Stars series, amid claims he cheated on her with past Islander Anna-May Robey, 21.

Just days before the claims of infidelity were made public, Jess branded Callum’s actions “unforgivable” in an interview with The Sun.

Now, in a new interview with Ami Charlize’s Private Story, Jess has set the record straight on their row at Molly Smith’s Boohoo party.

Smiling, she explained: “We did have a bit of an argument at the event.

“On the way to the event… I don’t want to go into too much detail but I found out something through someone else about something that had happened earlier on in the week. I was shocked.

“When I found that out I didn’t want to even go to the event.”

Jess then let slip the phone call was made by Rochelle Humes’ sister Sophie Piper.

She continued: “I was like this is so bad and, obviously, I spoke to Callum at the event and then it went from there.”

The revelation blindsided Jess who insists the pair had been trying to make a proper go of the relationship after leaving the villa.

A source told the Mail: “She had learned of Callum’s fling with Anna-May, which came as a complete surprise to her, as far as Jess knew she and Callum were trying to make their romance work outside of the show.

“It was embarrassing how it all played out at a party and Callum proceeded to rub salt in the wound by leaving the venue holding another girl’s hand.”

In her interview with us, Jess, who entered the All Stars villa alongside her twin sister Eve, said she was hurt by Callum after finding out something – now believed to be the cheating allegations – prior to their split.

The blonde bombshell exclusively told The Sun: “It didn’t fizzle out, things happened and there was this thing at Molly [Smith’s] clothing event.

“I found out something prior to the event and something that you can’t really come back from.

“We don’t speak now and I guess a line has been drawn under that.”

Confirming she no longer speaks to Callum and their friendship is over too, Jess said: “After certain bits of information came to light, I wouldn’t want to speak to Callum and after that, it was done.”

Love Island All Stars break-ups

Anton Danyluk and Georgia Harrison

Fans had hoped the popular pair would stand the test of time but just weeks after leaving the villa they called it a day.

Distance was said to be a factor with 400miles between their homes in Essex and Aidrie, Scotland, respectively.

But today Anton set the record straight on the What’s The Crack? podcast with his mum Sherrie-Ann.

He said: “I just don’t think there was really that romantic spark there. We did both try. At times it was there but just not enough for it to continue as a relationship.”

Jess Gale and Callum Jones

The fourth placed finishers always faced on uphill battle given many watching the latest series wanted Callum to reunite with his ex Molly Smith.

The fireworks from the Boohoo party row put an end to the romance before it really got off the floor.

Arabella Chi and Adam Maxted

This visually striking pairing bloomed late in the series. Despite forming a close bond in the villa, the couple quickly went cold in the real world.

Wrestler Adam was based in Northern Ireland while model Arabella moved into a new pad in London. Even though Adam revealed he was moving to Manchester, it wasn’t enough to save them.

They vowed to remain good friends and split on good terms.

Luis Morrison and Demi Jones

In another case of distance getting in the way, Luis admitted the 240 miles between Manchester and Portsmouth was just too much.

He told The Sun: “Me and Demi aren’t together, but she was a huge part of my Love Island experience and she is one of the most loveliest, most beautiful girls I’ve ever met.

“The connection was definitely there when leaving the villa too.

“But the distance was a killer for us both and wouldn’t of worked as we are both at different parts of the country, we both have really busy schedules coming off love island too.”

To make matters worse, after their showdown at the party, Callum was pictured with another woman.

That proved to be a separate issue, with Jess insisting it had nothing to do with their fallout.

She explained: “That wasn’t actually what the issue was, there was something that happened before the event and then that whole leaving with a girl – he didn’t actually leave with that girl.

“That was a separate thing that was a bit strange, but I found out something prior to the event that we discussed at the event.

“And then from that I decided I didn’t want to speak to Callum again and then obviously there was him pictured with that girl after that event.

“The next day I looked at the news and saw the headlines ‘Jess and Callum have split after he leaves with a girl at event’, that was a bit unrelated to what happened. But it was all a bit weird.”
