EASTENDERS fans already think they know what the soap bosses are planning for Christmas and they are not having it.

They suspect the plot will be similar to last year’s murder with The Six, but some have warned if that is the case they will be switching off.

Recently a sexual assault storyline set shockwaves through the fanbase as Yolande Trueman was attacked by Pastor Clayton.

The vile man locked her in the kitchen at a church fundraiser event and proceeded to touch her inappropriately.

Yolande was left sobbing on the floor after the horrific incident and has been struggling with the trauma ever since.

She was able to open up to good friend Elaine Peacock about being violated, but found it too difficult to break the news to her husband Patrick.

In the end the churchgoing woman asked Elaine to tell him the truth as she could not face it.

The soap also showed clips of various other women who have been assaulted by the Pastor over the years.

None of them seem to have come forward about their experiences, and when one did, the police did not take her seriously.

Viewers think there is a chance that all of Clayton’s victims could band together to take him down in a holiday special.

One person took to social media, suggesting: “Personally. I think the Christmas episode this year should be Yolande and all the victims of pastor Clayton getting their revenge on him.

“Like throughout the year, Yolande finds out he’s done this before and goes online and finds some of the women’s stories and puts 2 and 2 together and meets up with them and it all comes crashing down at Christmas, who agrees?”

Another chimed in: “Yes, put him in a room with all his victims and he can get what he deserves.”

A third agreed: “That would be a great and fitting ending to this horrible creep.”

However, other EastEnders fans were keen for the storyline to wrap up as quickly as possible, and want to see justice served sooner.

One person plainly stated: “If it’s dragging on that long I will not be watching.”

A second soap watcher hit out: “I don’t want it, it’s only April. Wouldn’t want the next 8 months of that then Christmas all about it too.”

A third was left incensed by the suggestion, exclaiming: “A whole year again?! Ffs nah!”
