EASTENDERS fans have been fuming ever since a Walford love rat cheated on his pregnant partner, and are now pleading with writers to can the storyline.
Zack Hudson is well known for his bad boy reputation as he also cheated on his previous girlfriend Nancy.
It didn’t take long for him to fall back into his sordid ways when he had a big argument with his current partner Whitney.
Zack stormed out of the house and ended up seeking solace in the arms of his girlfriend’s close friend, Laura Branning.
Initially he was just venting about the situation, but the pair ended up bonding over being at a bad place in their lives.
When Laura suggested they go for a night out in Hoxton together Zack was very eager.
Lust soon took over and the two didn’t even make it to the bus stop before they ended up romping in an alleyway.
Even though Lauren knows Whitney would be devastated to hear about the infidelity, in recent episodes she has been encouraging Zack to come clean about the affair, saying keeping it a secret would be worse.
Viewers suspect that she actually just wants to destroy her friend’s relationship.
EastEnders fans have taken to social media to protest, with one hitting out: “The writers are really trying to make Lauren interesting, but unfortunately, she just isn’t at the moment. The whole Zack/Lauren storyline is lame!”
Another added: “Lauren is telling knew she had alternative motives vile vile girl Whitney deserves better friends.
“I’m so over Zack too I gave him too many changes he’s an unredeemable character for me.”
A third vented: “Lauren makes me sick. If cheating bothers you that much why’d you do it?”
One heartbroken audience member asked: “Why do the writers insist on making Whitney go through the most shit and then make it even worse once she’s left? There was absolutely no point in making Zack and Lauren sleep together at all.”
