THE REPAIR Shop star Jay Blades has revealed his beloved uncle has been “murdered” as he announces a break from social media.
The TV star took to social media to make the heartbreaking announcement.

In a sad video, Jay admitted the shocking loss had left him feeling “messed up”.
He captioned the video: “Good evening all. See you soon.”
Although The Repair Shop beloved presenter didn’t share details about the tragedy, he claimed his late uncle was “murdered”.
Following the the loss, he announced he will step away from social media temporarily yo prioritise his well-being.
He claimed he will seek therapy during this tumultuous time.
The TV host said: “Hope you’re all well. This is kind of like a public service announcement.
“I’ve just been to my uncle’s funeral, he was murdered a few weeks ago. Really, super nice guy, shouldn’t have happened to him, but it really affected me.
“I feel a little bit messed up. So what I’m intending on doing is this. I’m coming off social media for a bit, and I’ll be back in a bit. Going to go and get some therapy and just chill out.
“Please, take care of each other, take care of yourself, and I’ll see you guys soon.”
Jay’s family and friends flocked to give their support, with Julia Bradbury offering her condolences.
She wrote: “Sorry to hear this Jay. Glad you’re taking some time out.”
Fred Sirieix sent a red heart emoji, while 5News host Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije said: “Look after you bro. So sorry for your loss.”
Louise Minchin wrote: “I am so sorry to hear this, sending you love xx.”
The popular host has faced numerous challenges throughout his career and personal life.
He was raised in Hackney by his mother Barbara and maternal half-brother.
He previously fought back tears after a guest was left speechless and sobbing on the latest episode of the BBC show.
Kirsten and Jay were handed a replica of the famous Italian statue of David for restoration.
The guest brought in the precious sculpture to the professionals, who had no idea of the heart-wrenching story attached to it.
When Jay heard the emotional story, he was utterly taken aback by the unique artwork.
