BRITAIN’S Got Talent fans pointed out a huge blunder with opera-singer Batman act The Dark Hero.
The masked man, dressed as Batman, took to the stage during Saturday night’s episode of the ITV show.
The Dark Hero performed his own rendition of an operatic version of Defying Gravity from Wicked.
However some viewers were a little confused about the act.
One pointed out on X, formerly known as Twitter: “a friend sent this to me last night and I have not known peace since. WHY the knockoff Batman costume? WHY THIS song for THAT voice? WHY pick one of the only superheroes who famously cannot fly to fly? WHY didn’t he call himself Elphabatman?!!”
Another replied: “my face when all of your questions made sense.”
A third brutally chimed in: “And this is why I no longer watch Britains Got (zero) Talent.”
“All VERY good questions,” a fourth said.
Meanwhile other fans are convinced that they have worked out the ‘real identity’ of the act.
The Dark Hero decided to keep his identity a secret, which then made those watching at home try and figure out who it is.
Many think that the person behind the mask is someone that has already been on the show.
The viewer shared: “Hasn’t the guy dressed as batman been on before but as himself and made it through to finals. Is that why he didn’t speak so he didn’t have to say who he was and they’d know he was on before.”
A third weighed in: “Guessing Batman was dressed up so he didn’t speak to hide his identity. Whoever he is that was brilliant and one of my favourite musical theatre songs.”
Meanwhile the show was also accused of ‘fakery’ after fans noticed the same thing happening with all the acts.
Fans were quick to point out that the judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Toniolo react to every single performance the same way.
One moaned: “Is there anything more annoying on TV than the #BGT judges with their fake open mouths in surprise at almost every act?”
Another asked: “Why do the Judges act so shocked at everything… They all seem to be over doing this acting, even Simon Cowell seems to be doing it now.”
