Flooding her with support, one fan said: “The stars are aligning in a fabulous resurgence….”
A second wrote: “Great news! Wishing you all the best, Karin.”
“Great to see you back Karin. Loving the halo,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “Amazing, Karin! Great to see you back where you belong!”
However, Karin – who was taken off air with four other colleagues– revealed she’s on crutches following major operation.
Earlier this month she told fans how she had undergone major knee osteotomy surgery.
The operation sees medics cutting through the leg bone to alleviate symptoms of arthritis by realigning the foot.
At the time, Karin shared a snap from her hospital bed and said: “I’m out of action for a couple of months after a knee osteotomy surgery, but very much looking forward to being back on air on @BBCNews when I am up and running again!”
Karin and four other anchors were taken off air following the merger of the BBC’s domestic and international news channels as part of cost-cutting.
Other seasoned broadcasters such as Geeta Guru-Murthy, Kasia Madera, Annita McVeigh and Martine Croxall also lost out on presenting gigs as a result of the overhaul but are all returning to air.
Meanwhile, earlier this month Martine launched legal action against the Beeb and will take them to a two-day employment tribunal next month.
