The series sadly ended in 2007, but now the gang have got back together for a new project.

Podcast platform Audible is dropping six brand new episodes of the audio reboot today.

Called Green Wing: Resuscitated, it will feature the original cast of the hit show including Stephen Mangan, Tamsin Greig and Julian Rhind-Tutt.

Speaking about the reboot, Audible said: “Spanning six episodes, Green Wing: Resuscitated features the original cast and takes listeners back to East Hampton Hospital.

“Created once again by Victoria Pile, and scripted by original writers including Robert Harley, James Henry, Oriane Messina and Fay Rusling, established fans and new listeners alike will be treated to more surreal twists and turns in the lives and loves of East Hampton’s staff.”

Tamsin Greig previously excited fans by revealing details of the new era of the show.

The actress, who played Dr Caroline Todd on the medical show, told the Metro about the audio comedy spin-off

She shared: “We have actually recorded a podcast with nine of the original cast of Green Wing.

“There are six episodes and the characters are still working in that hospital East Hampton Trust, and it’s in the same vein of the very visual humour that you get in the show, but it’s now of course, an audio comedy.

“And it’s really lovely, because apparently our voices don’t age and that’s great.”

The Love Soup star also explained they actually recorded the podcast last year.

In the final episode of Green Wing, Caroline and Mac tied the knot after the doc discovered her partner had a terminal illness.

The special ended with Caroline being lifted into the air by helium balloons at the wedding reception.
