In harrowing scenes, Bethany became a rape victim at the hands of Nathan and his gang.
Near the end of his run, Nathan even tried to sell Bethany into sex work abroad.
His disgusting plans were thwarted when Bethany approached bystanders for help, leading to Nathan’s arrest.
The Sun exclusively reported Nathan would be making a comeback to the ITV soap.
Nathan’s return will see Bethany terrified after learning about his release from prison.

Taking to X, one dissatisfied viewer wrote: “Have you anything to say to all the viewers, including me, who are switching off in droves due to these abysmal storylines?”
Another penned: “I’ve been a fan of the programme for years, but the scripts do need more of an injection of the Corrie humour we all know, love and need.”
A third viewer raged: “Just WHY? For God’s sakes. Him the first time around was enough.”
Some fans, however, had more optimistic reactions to the storyline.
One wrote: “Chris Harper plays the role excellently.”
A fellow fan added: “He’s a fantastic actor, glad to see his character back.”
In recent weeks, fans have seen a storyline surrounding teen Lauren Bolton’s disappearance, with beloved Roy Cropper charged with her alleged murder.
Meanwhile, show bosses have also teased a ‘huge’ new storyline for Bethany, with Lucy Fallon having returned after three years away.
