The Sun on Sunday exclusively revealed how the ITV soap is lining up a deep fake porn plot.

The X-rated content will be sent to her garage boss, Tyrone Dobbs, played by Alan Halsall, leaving him shocked.
However, Coronation Street fans have not taken the announcement well, considering how many are still furious over the soap’s decision to run a dead baby plot involving Toyah Battersby.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one simply wrote: “Why?”.
Another added: “I haven’t watched #Corrie for months, but reading this… the hell are y’all taking? Cause it ain’t a natural drug if this is the s***e you’re writing.
“Yes, you can say it is “modern commentary,” but like.. who the f*** is even liking these plotlines?”
A fellow viewer shared a snippet from a previous article where Corrie boss Ian MacLeod teased that Abi would reunite with someone from her past and have an “odd couple” comedy storyline.
They wrote: “So instead of a comedy friendship for Abi, she gets another traumatising ordeal nah I’m done with this s*** #Corrie.”
Meanwhile a fourth shared: “Why Can’t Abi get a happy story? She’s has good scenes with Kevin but what about her scenes with Alfie?
“Another case of a good actor slotting into another terrible narrative. Sally Carman is brilliant but this story is vile. Same with Georgia Taylor with Toyah’s story.”
Someone else was more blunt, tweeting: “LEAVE ABIALONE YOU MORONS.”
The plot comes after celebrities including singer Taylor Swift have fallen victim to deepfakes.
A source said: “Scriptwriters are always keen to reflect what’s happening in the world.
“Abi was caught up in the dark world of drugs and is desperate to find out who’s behind the videos. It’s awful as they look so real.”
A Coronation Street spokeswoman declined to comment when approached by The Sun on Sunday.
