The teen has had a traumatic few months, after being bullied by school thug Mason and his pals.

Liam – played by Charlie Wrenshall – was threatened with a knife by Mason, and things became so bad he contemplated taking his own life.

Thankfully his mum Maria discovered what was going on just in time, and has been home schooling her son ever since.

In recent weeks, brave Liam and Dylan Wilson gave evidence against Mason in court– despite the thug attempting to intimidate them not to – and he was sent to a young offenders institution.

But the ordeal has had a lasting impact on Liam, and in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, Gary and Maria discuss private therapy for Liam.

Gary suggests they sell the factory to fund it but Liam listens in, deeply troubled.

Later in the week, Liam googles ways to deal with anxiety, searching diazepam.

When Joseph arrives for the judo class, Liam’s glad of some company.

It isn’t the only drama for the family at the moment, as earlier this month, Gary was caught in a compromising situation.

Maria (Samia Longchambon) installed a secret hidden camera in her home after she was left worried about Liam.

When Liam had declared he was ready to go back to school, the mum-of-one refused to listen to him and she ended up in a row with Gary.

Things became tense after she implied that Gary had no say in the matter as Liam is not his biological son.

Later, Gary ended up comforting his ex Sarah Platt after she learned lover Damon Hay had been sentenced to six years in prison.

The pair were completely unaware that Maria was watching them from her phone via the camera and a drunken pass was made.
