SUSANNA Reid snubbed her former Good Morning Britain pal Piers Morgan as she failed to mention him as the show celebrates 10 years on air.
The star has been the face of the flagship ITV breakfast show since it first launched in April 2014.
She made up the very first line-up of the programme alongside Ben Shephard, Sean Fletcher and Charlotte Hawkins.
The star famously presented alongside Piers Morgan three mornings a week for six years between 2015 and 2021 but in a new interview to mark 10 years of the programme, she failed to give her long-running co-host a shoutout.
Since Piers quit the programme, Susanna has since hosted alongside a rotating panel of regular stand-in hosts including Ed Balls, Martin Lewis, Richard Madeley and Richard Bacon.
Looking back on the launch of the programme, Susanna revealed she could remember the very first episode in fine detail.
She recalled: “I remember sitting next to the wonderful Ben Shephard, who just as the opening credits were rolling whispered ‘You’ll never get a second chance to enjoy this moment because this is the only moment we’ll ever launch this programme, Good
Morning Britain, on ITV to the nation. So enjoy every second of it.”
The TV presenter also revealed that her early starts never get any easier and she is forced to set THREE alarms in order to make sure she makes it on air in time every morning.
Susanna said: “I’ve always described it as airport time, because normally, the only time you would get up at that time of the morning is to go and catch a flight!
“And in a similar way, the adrenaline is kind of flowing from the moment that the alarm goes off. I set three alarms, 3:40, 3:45 and
3:50.
“I snooze the first one, I wake up on the second one, and I get out of bed on the third one! There is no turning back, you cannot lie in, you can’t switch off one alarm and go back to sleep.”
She also confessed that she forces herself to not panic or worry over potential lack of sleep.
Susanna takes a nap during the day but confessed she doesn’t put pressure on herself to actually fall asleep as long as she takes the time to relax and rest.
The broadcaster added: “I normally have a nap during the day and I tell myself ‘It doesn’t matter if you sleep, whether you’re lying in
bed and napping, or you’re lying in bed and trying to sleep, it doesn’t matter if you’re actually asleep.
“Don’t put pressure on yourself to sleep. Just lying there is enough – you’re resting.’
“I find if you start panicking about how much sleep you’re getting, that stops you sleeping.”
Susanna can currently be seen alongside Ed, Sean and Richard as well as Adil Ray.
She is also joined by her female counterparts who have all also been a part of the programme from the very beginning in varying capacities – Kate Garraway, Charlotte Hawkins and Ranvir Singh.
