PRINCE Andrew is seen getting another grilling in Amazon’s new drama on his car-crash Newsnight interview.
Our exclusive snap of A Very Royal Scandal shows Michael Sheen as the Duke and Ruth Wilson as Emily Maitlis.
We can reveal they will also act it out on stage to counter the success of Netflix’s Scoop, which recreated the same 2019 interview with Rufus Sewell and Gillian Anderson.
Amazon bosses were in crisis talks over how to generate publicity for their three-parter, which is expected to air in October.
They now plan a stage production of the entire interview, with Maitlis introducing.
It could even have a West End run depending on interest.
An Amazon source said: “Ruth and Michael are stage veterans and bosses are thrilled by the idea it will alert the public to the show.
“There was concern that, due to the recent success of Scoop, audiences may have switched off.”
Maitlis has helped oversee the Amazon drama, which will focus on Andrew’s relationship with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
